Default MX73 coilover / suspension options

hey guys i'm not sure weather its been covered. i searched and couldn't find any information

i have a mx73 cressida and want to upgrade the suspension . is it right in assuming that ma61 supra coilovers will fit??

or what options do i have how different is mx73 front sus to a sprinter ? could s13 hubs and custom length struts be used with different lower control arms.. simular to an s13 strut conversion on a sprinter ?

    thanks guys

    John.

Since when were coilovers for MA61's readily available? lol
I know the guys at AJPS in SA make coilovers for MX73's but I have tried contacting them a few times with no reply...

does this mean the MX62 LCA + S13 hubs, brakes and struts would not bolt into the X73?

I would think that you can, the LCA bushes are the same, and so long as you can fit MX73 tops onto the S13 struts you are laughing....
*maybe not laughing when you figure out that you still need longer steering arms than the MX62 ones though*

Although that being said i think the MX73 arms are longer again than the MX62 ones, and i think you need 35mm extra arm length to combat the S13 kingpin angle.

ok so lets say...hypothetically I just bought a nice MX73 with a farked 5MGE and im gonna build another budget drift project...purely hypothetically...

couldnt I just do an old school style cut and shut on the S13 and MX73 LCA's to make them any desired length? and then redrill the strut tower holes to suit S13 tops?

So hypothetically if you raped Bennys MX73 then yes, you could probably just bolt the S13 gear to the MX73, and have the option of using the MX73 fixed tops, or redrilling for S13 tops.

From memory the MX73 has even longer LCAs than the MX62 so it could work even better. Bump steer will be highly compromised though.

benny's is too "mint" so he says....

this isnt benny's...lets just say a little clan is forming...ahaha

ok so that would work...sweet...what steering arms would I have to use do you think?

bump steer isnt an issue with me...im used to it

Steering arms would be the S13 ones, because they are integral with the hub.

    no toranas then

should prove to be fun...might have to go for a coilover with body adjustment though because i think the front might be a tad low with S13 struts...

basically anything that can be done to an ma61 should be doable on the mx73. Start researchink there.

yeah he was...and in turn reffering to the S13 suss into sprinter conversion which is common
