is it an old one designed for a deep dish steering wheel? or perhaps designed for a more dished wheel?
does the wheel sit further away from you than it did previously (and do you have short legs?)
just wanted to know if any1 had this issue, picked up an autotechnica boss kit supposed to be for a sprinter, it fits all good but then wen i turn my knuckles hit the indicator stalk... any1 have this problem, i was thinking of heating the bottom of the stalk and bending it slightly back?????

You can usually get Long versions of autotechnica boss kit, aswell as the standard ones.

Hi, Im enthused about corollas..
sorry lol, i have no idea i just went to super cheap with the wheel and said can u give me a bosskit for this suited to an ae86 sprinter and thats wat he gave me, i ask him if there were anymore boss kits suited to my car and he said no
perhaps the wheel is flatter than usual.. tho looing in Autobacs at their range, they all seem to be pretty flat (ie all similar to the momo? suede racing wheels.. as a comparison)
i had a long boss and a deep dish wheel in my old rolla and had to bend the indicator upwards.... just as another data point

hmmmz so u think theyd have an extended boss kit version?
Sounds like you need a steering wheel spacer.
If you look at the stock sprinter steering wheel the hub is quite far back from the rim of the wheel. Most aftermarket wheels are near on flat and the boss isnt too tall either.
A decent spacer will also allow you to lean a little further back while still reaching the wheel and pedals.
yer i might get 1 made, the wheels distance to me is fine i can reach the pedals all good its just wen i turn i hit the indicators with my hands, i might a metal spacer made up to go between the wheel and the boss?
That would do the trick
You need to go to Autobarn and tell them to order you the extra extra long Boss Kit from SAAS to suit Toyota Sprinter AE86.
They will order it and you will fit it and find that with a a flat steering wheel your hands will still clear the indicator stalk by a good amount.
Take the one you got from Supercheap and throw it through their front window because they are useless, then ask for you money back.
Have fun,
Jeremy
lol thanx, i heard saas kits dont fit to the momo though is that true?
The SAAS boss will do both steering wheel bolt patterns
ok sweet just spoke to autobarn the guys ringing saas to c if they have an extra long kit ^_^ coz he was unsure if that works out thank u all for the help
cheers Dario
