    Default 7MGE Timing

    Hi guys,

Adjusted the timing on the Cressida the other week, when checking the timing, it was all over the place. It would randomly jump from 8-12deg. I backed it off more so it is probably around 7-11deg, as I do not want to run it too advanced.

Any ideas on what could be casuing this? I have newish leads and plugs, but have not changed the dizy cap or rotor button (this is the only thing I could put it down to?)

    Cheers.

Did you join Te1 to E1 in the diagnostic plug before you set it ?

Sure did, even reset the ECU by pulling the fuse for a min or two.
