    Default rt132 corona diff ratio?

I have a corona lift back and was wondering if there is any way that I can cut the revs down ???? At a 100k I am currentl;y doing 3000 rpm in 5th gear. Is it possible to play with the diff ratio to drop my revs at all? I know that this model came out with a 3.9 and a 4.1 ratio. Any idea which one of these will drop my revs? It would be the ducks nuts if I were able to pull the old girl down to something like 2500 rpm at 100k. I have herd down the grape vine that a diff out of a lux will also fit and they have a ratio of 4.5. All means crap to me so can some one please fill me in.

    Manual RT132 had a 3.9 T series diff, Auto had a 4.1.

The higher the number, the more revs at 100km/h, so a 4.5 is a backward step!

You might be able to find a taller diff (lower number eg: 3.5) but I can't suggest a suitable source.

i don't reckon you'll have much luck. you have a T series diff, they were only put behind smaller engines, ie not really suitable for tall gearing.

you'd be better off getting bigger wheels( rolling diameter i mean. i'm not saying you should get fully sik chromies )

bare in mind, that this may cause guard rub, and it'll put you're speedo out.

Yep, my manual RT132 has the 3.9:1 gears. T312 is the code IIRC. 3000rpm at 100kms isn't too bad though I don't think. I would just stick bigger wheels on as was said as it will be much easier than finding a diff (if there is one). Search for toyota axle database and have a look through there.
