ADR 37 emissions testing

but jza 80 supras pass ADR ,s as the govenment allowed plates for them to be in the country , so if it passes in a adr approved car why not when put in another car.

cambelt1, a guy I know, who imports a few different cars, has told me, that to get RAWS approval for any post 1997 vehicle, he has to have an emmissions test, as part of his evidence package. Cost $3,000.00, plus long waiting list, and he has to ship the cars to Vic. tohave it done.

My 2000 supra was imported under raws and had to do no such thing.

The test is for the RAW plate holder, they only need to get it done once per vehicle model, then it goes into their evidence package as stated above for use when they comply the cars.

Yeah, I'd be fine if I was using Toyota EFI etc., but, as I'm not, that's what makes it so much more fun! If I was putting a standard 2JZ in, I would have a pretty easy time with engineering - being able to use all Toyota parts for mounting, if I used Toyota EFI, etc., then I'd be fine. However, what sort of imagination would it show if I was putting a stock 2JZ in a Cressida? Not only would it be far to easy to physically do, it'd also be much to easy to get it passed - and where would be the fun in that...
