    Default 1G-GTE oil presure....

Just a quickie.... what would you guys say is the maximum reasoanble oil presure on a 1G? ona motorway drive (sitting at 80 or so, 3k to 3.5k revs) on hot 10-40 mineral oil (running in) the presure is reading over 110 psi! Nearly 120..

I am assuming my presure relief valve has jammed, it was the only part I didn't rebuild...

Not looking forward to getting at it but there you go... is it common for them to jam? any tips?

Running a stock toyota oem oil filter cold idle oil presure is atound 60-80, warm about 40.

id assume pressure shouldnt pass the relief valve rating.

if it is then as you said ... id be checking the relief valve.

bit awkward but you should be able to unbolt it from the block .. from underneath
    would probably be the easiest.

Then maybe flush it with metho or petrol or something to try and get at any crud.

There is always rubbish in a freshly built engine.
