It sounds more like you have a seized caliper.
i just changed my brakes from the s13 sr20det to z32 gear and my front brakes have sorta locked and will not move there got a lil bit of bite enough to know about it like some one is resting the foot on the brake pedle anyhoo i was wondering how would i adjust the bias or do i need to upgrade the master to r32,z32 gear?
or what way is there to solve it preferably with buying a brake bias?

i dont think so as both of them are the same it seems to getting to much pressure or the masters tripping out i've got a patrol master that i am fitting now i'll see how it goes
id say it probally not your master cause if thats dodgy you should have crappy brakes at both ends-see if you can track down a 300zx proportioning valve, that would be pretty cheap. have fun fitting it though![]()
as norbiw said, if your brakes worked before, and all you have done is swap the calipers, but now they are draggin gor clamped on.. then they are probably siezed...
pull caliper off (with pipe attached, and push caliper out and in a few times.. see if that is possible...
or just clean/rebuild them.. the kits aren:t too expensive (just seals)
bias has nothing to do with dragging/clamped on calipers...

Sam, I too would be tipping that your calipers are jammed. (must be that dodgy Wrecker your're going to)
Rebuild them, can do it at my place and I can also give you the part numbers and a place to get them as some guys put imported car bits into the too hard basket.

hhhmmm jammed ey i think i got a warrenty on them i changed the master to the patrol dosent seem to do anythingi am to the point that i am about to get the hammer on to them i'll give you a call jezza
this is what i did i was running singal spot sr20det front brakes then i got the z32 discs and z32 front cailpers put them on and the the problem started
they could just be gummed up from sitting around for who knows how long....
clean, new seals.. probably all good

Three choices, with a very slight chance of a combination.
1. sticky caliper
2. bad hose holding pressure
3. MC holding pressure - bad adjustment
*******************************
1. check that the piston extnds & retracts normally.
2. crack open/loosen line at MC, no change - it's the hose.
3. loosening bleeder releases pressure - shorten MC push rod length until the caliper piston can be pushed in.
Yes, changing the MC may fix it. Measure their depths.
I wouldn't stress too much about warranty etc. - a seal kit is a damned good idea on any pre-loved calipers, and it never hurts to pop them apart for a quick look inside.
