    Default 1G oil filter thread.

Hi guys I am looking at an oir to air oil cooler, and in fitting it replacing the factory oil/water cooler.

I have seen a kit advertised in the UK for a Nissan pulsar GTi-R does anyone know of it will fit a 1g??? I seem to recall in the depths of my dim memory that skylines used the same oil filter thread as us...

The reason I am interested in this particular one is that it has a built in thermostat... which most don't seem to have! I don't fancy overcooled oil... (which will happen in the uk lol)

oil filter is Z418 or equivalent... just thought I'd chime in just in case you have the chance to compare threads with the skyline / GTi-R ones...

    Cheers

If it helps anyone, I found this

    Nissan filters http://preview.alibaba.com/img/produ...278/NISSAN.gif

    Toyota filters http://preview.alibaba.com/img/produ...266/TOYOTA.gif

Assuming that is right and they are the same thread, I need to work out/hope that the depth of the threaded bit in the block is the same as the filter, and that fitting for such things are fairly universal...

is this the Mocal kit? they should be able to supply a couple of different thread adaptors for them.
