    hehe, YAY carpark.
got most of the way home before we started getting funny noises sounding like an exhaust dragging on the ground.
dropped stiggz off and i went home as this noise intermittantly got worse.
get it home thinking to myself...winding it off the speedo was so much fun...but maybe i brokeded it lol

    so anyways
get underneath, have a look around....ridiculous amounts of diff oil sprayed everywhere from leaking seal (cant get replacement) so i live with it. its not much really, just goes along way

so, keep looking, and at the end of the tailshaft that goes into the gearbox there is a collar around the yoke, that does....something thats come free and has been warbling itself around the tailshaft.
so drop tailshaft, retaining compound it back in and yay. all fixed
seems like things are looking up for team suprolla now we just needs to get stiggz going too

just like to say thanks for a great cruise guys, and welldone to everyone for not parking it in the bushes, in what were some slippery roads, i know without my sticky rubber things may have been alot more interesting

cheers, andrew...that tosser in the ke70

Thanks to Dana for organising this one. Was a fun day, even if it was a wee bit wet.

    Also great photos chuckster.

I will organise a few of the ones I took as well, and capture the small amount of video I grabbed of everyone driving past

Was good to meet some more people, although ask me today whose name went to which face and I would probably mess up most of them !!! I blame it all on old age.

Sorry to those who got stuck behind me on the uphill runs where my yellow boat had some nasty habit of not wanting to accelerate out of a corner.

I noticed this morning when I checked the water before driving to work a weird site, sort of like a gel around the inside of the radiator cap. Needed about 1.5 litres as a top up too!!. Drove it work and no issues with overheating etc. Before leaving work I checked again and it need another litre!!! Weirdest of all there is no tell tale signs of a head gasket gone, bubbles in the radiator, creamy oil.

More diagnosis on the weekend to come. Besides that, I think everyones cars did a good job of negotiating the wet winding roads.

Did the silver RA28 survive the trip home after the large yellow and black show it put on just before entering boonah?

Dave aka floppy in the yellow RA23.

    Charles,
Kirk's car was having ignition? problems and kept cutting out and backfiring. He's only just got it back from the shop, but obviously the problem is still there So they headed back home, but at least they made it.

Nah, she had to sit at home We couldnt find a practical way of getting it home after the cruise, as we had to go straight to the airport after the cruise - we even left early.
Twas a bit of a shame too, since we only just got it fixed and were looking forward to taking her - that throwout bearing siezed last weekend and took the clutch with it

No way! I'm sorry. That thing had been sounding the same for the whole 3 years I had it. What shit timing!

Oh, and remember that I had offered to drive it... I could have at least driven it home for you

Yeah, the weekend before the cruise i was driving out to Beauy so Gerrard's dad could tune the carbs, I got half way there and then all of a sudden everytime I put my foot on the clutch there was this god-awful screech. The bearing siezed and grabbed hold of the fingers on the pressure plate and apparantly the mechanic said it wasnt pretty

But yeah Gerrard's bro was going to drive it and all but a last minute decision late the night before was made that he would drive his GT4 instead.

    Anyways... PICS!!!

I also have individual photos of some of the cars - Max's, Stef's, Gleno's, Kirk's and Dave's and of course Simon's - PM me if you want a copy.

hey all... finally back online, and making this my first howdy...

cruise was awesome, roads were mental, and the celica's showd the skyline how to hill climb... visibilty was left back in beaudesert, we didn't see anything till we got back out of the clouds... was awesome to see simon's GT there, and even better to see so many celica's in one place,

river - when you gonna come visit sunny down town QLD, i personally vote brisvegas to be the next location for TOYFEST! and for the record sillius chickus is NEXT to all those photos, if not behind some...
