    Well I did post this up a while ago, since I havent been there before, but no-one commented if that was the best way to go....??

    Anyone who's been there care to make some suggestions? We only have a week to go you know

    It's a bit hillier than it looks on the map (when you climb up the range) - but that's the way we went last year.

    We went: Brisbane ->Beaudesert ->Boonah ->Mt Alford (i think) ->hilly bits ->Queen Mary Falls.

    It's a it pointless going all the way out to ipswich and down the Highway to Fassifern or Arratula - why travel on a straight boring highway when from Beaudesert onwards it's rolling country roads.

    We Came home via Warwick & Cunningham's gap as we wanted to see the racetrack at Morgan Park (just outside Warwick) and it's a lot easier drive back despite hte extra distance.

    Bring bbq food & drinks with you - there's a small shop across the raod from the Falls' bbq area but am not sure what it stocks.

    Am not sure if i'll be there - is the same weekend as the Cooloola Motorkhana and i previously advised them that i'd make an appearance.

    Yeah the beudesert way is much more enjoyable than the cunningham highway.

    Lots of nice twisty bits and some good open stretches too.

    The shop at queen mary falls has hot foods as well as sandwichs which are not too badly priced.

    There are bbq's in the park opposite if you want to bring your own.

    I hope my car will make the long journey, it has the 18r-c in it now and I'm not too sure of its lifespan Bit of blow by and oil leaking etc.

    Any idea how long you guys think this cruise will go for? I haven't read the whole thread so maybe this has already been asked?

    Reason is I'm not sure if I can spare the whole day..

    Cheers,
    Simon

    TA22 GT: allow the better part of a day, takes about 2 hours to drive up, another 2 for eating and walking around the park then 1.5 hours to get home depending on where you live.

    Not exactly sure on the condition of mine, but the engine I got it off was apparantly still running ok when it was pulled out of the car (so I was told, Ive never had it in a car running myself). I was gonna sell it anyway as I wanna use a CT26 when I get the 3TGTE in....

    If its any good and fixes your problem i'll swap ya the turbo for the diff centre and axles I was going to get off ya
