Just want to see how it all went together for clearances etc. By the sounds of it the starter may need to be moved to the intake side. Apparently the stock one doesn't fit. Is the starter on the intake side on the ae86?

I'm not sure what side the AE86 starter is on, but I would have thought you'd be cutting the primaries at one stage if you used it for RWD (I could be wrong since I saw this on a TA22).

When I tried a set on my FWD everything went together nicely except the bolt on the distributor side. Cut a notch in that hole and you're done. As for clearing the starter, yeah, just move it over or, again, cut the primaries near the head flange and extend them a bit.

In a RWD configuration with the T50 you need the starter on the exhaust side, as on the intake side you have a really really really small amount of clearance between the steering column and the starter (which i wouldnt want to see as the engine mounts flex).
In FWD though youll have no issues with the 20v headers because it is all the same layout. Just need to notch a couple of holes.

If you are using the stock FWD extractors on a RWD engine youll run into just a few troubles....
