I wanna remove it to get to the rust properly, then I will be putting fresh stuff back on.

thats the way to go, i thought about doing that but i didnt have any rust in my floor or sills so it would of been a pointless excersize, i have heard of somone getting 26kg's out of a ke70, dont know how truthful that is tho

I'm doing the sound deadener removal for weight reduction and welding in new seat mounts for the fixed seat - rust removal is an added bonus as the car is basically disposable (was free).

Given that the average MZ10 has 2-3 wheel-barrow loads of trim, venting, wiring and carpeting, it's a small drop in the weight-reduction bucket... but every bit counts.

mine added up to about 15kg out of the aw11, thats all the stuff on the wall behind the seats and both sides under the seats as its fairly thick there. The stuff towards the front of the foot wells is much thinner so I havn't bothered taking it off.

Under the seats was quite easy, a lot of it peeled of in big slabs with occasional leverage with screwdriver/chisel
