Resetting the ECU may help some, but i cant see it helping heaps in the long run. FWIW* the 7M doesnt use any more fuel towing as daily driving

herro,
since swapping my aristo ecu for the supra ecu i have noticed that the fuel consumption has nearly doubled!
there are no error codes and everything seems to be running perfectly (apart from the flashing OD light but this isnt really a pborlem)
the only thing i can maybe think of is that whithin a few hours of connecting the supra ecu, i used the car to tow a very large trailer back and forth, and maybe the computer has self adjusted to this extra load.
is this possible for the computer to self learn like this? and if so, how long does an ecu usually take to finish 'learning'?
should i drive the car any differently during the learning period?
i have now reset the ecu and will see how it goes.

well it was only beause the trailer was so heavy that made me think about it, one of those twin axle jobs, big cage and full to the brim (probably overloaded the poor ole cressie).
have driven about 30km and so far not noticed excessive fuel use (before i reset the ecu i would notice fuel dropping on just a 30 minute drive!)
thanks chris, i was gunna ask you his name so i can try and take it back there....
