Default Seat Belt twisted in VZV21 Camry

My Roadworthy people tell me that a Left hand seat belt is twisted 180 degrees out.
On checking a second car its twisted as well.
The only way to align it is to remove the lower bracket and twist it 180 degrees so the belt lies in the correct sense.
Trouble is the bracket at the floor is offset to permit the belt bracket to pivot free.
Turning the bracket around is not the correct option.
Maybe I can undo the intertia reel and pull the belt off the end and rotate it?
    But I don't think so.

How did two Toyota end up same? factory error?

Anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it??

The belt is definitely 180 out.

It is supposed to drop from the intertia pivot point straight down to the floor with the seat buckle outside and the belt is flat all the way down no twist.

just curious, has it always been like that?

don't you guys have to pass roadworthy once a year or something? because if it has always been like that then why didn't they pick it up before and why should you have to change it now. i can have a look at some of the camry at work and tell you how those ones are sitting but why does it make a difference if the seatbelt is twisted as long as it stops it should be ok?

so its up to you how you go about it

so does the buckle bit face the right way? or is that 180 * out?
could be as simple as once upon a tme it got twisted and the twist just migrated and you just need to untwist it and feed it thru the slider. can be awkward.

if your still having issues grab some pics of the problem and i will try explain what im talkin about if it relates to you.
of course, if the buckle is facing the right way what im talking about is no use to you...
