RT141?
id be guessing the floor pans are quite similar, so if the exhaust doesnt fit, it wouldnt be far off. i doubt a corona this modern has leaves under it.
1g conversion will be the same deal too.
After selling my corona sedan i am missing rona power and what to once again feel it. I have come across a CSi wagon, 2.4 manual and was wondering if my 2 inch exhaust i removed from the sedan would fit the wagon with minimal or no mods. Also i would eventually like to do what i was going to do with my sedan and put a 1g turbo in it, is this a similar mod to the sedans? One final note is the sedan leaf or coil rear?

Yeah sorry RT142 both sedan and wagon, wagon is update unleaded version, 1987 sedan is a 1985 model but also a CSi 2.4 and sorry i originally asked is the sedan leaf or coil, i meant to ask is the wagon leaf or coil.
i don't know about the rt142 but the st141 sedan and wagon exhaust are different from what i've seen on my friends wagon comparied to my sedan
Previous Rides: JZA80, GA70 GT, RA63 GT x2, TA61 GT, TA63.
The RT142 wagon has a bog-warmer live axel rear end with coil spring's.
Your exhaust should fit stright up with little hassel so long as your sedan did not have the inderpendent rear.
MATT.
P.S. The 1G's work a treat in a rona to and an easy fit.
As above, the only difference with any RT-142 will be what diff it is running. If you your old sedan had a solid rear end, and the new wagon does as well then you will have no problems with the exhaust. If one was IRS and one wasn’t than you will need to modify the tail section of the system. Good luck and let us know if you do the 1G conversion.![]()

Your old exhaust won't have a cat though unless you got one put in beeing off a pre 1986 corona thus it'd be illegal. Unless of course the pipes joins exactly to where the cat would be in the post 1986 models. Food for thought anyway.Originally Posted by PHOBIA

True true, but if he is talking about missing the Rona Powerthan he must be talking about the 22R-E, if that is what the exhaust is of than it should already have the cat fitted????

My car has no cat and it has a 22re its a 1985 spec live rear csi.

That surprises me, it was stock when you got it? I know pre 86 model's never had them but was always under the impression that the late 85 platted RT-142's with the 22R-E engine where basically a 1986 model vehicle anyway.![]()

Mine is a september 1985 corona, it had a modded exhaust on at one stage and then my cousin got a huge muffler for free and got it welded on the 2 and 1/4 inch system. It wasn't legal, it sounded great but the car ran like shit with it on. So it was taken off and a stock system was put back on pre my purchase of the car and as far as I know it doesn't have a cat, i've had a few peaks under there and definately haven't seen one, so I assum it just ain't there.

VZ motor omg how much did that cost, that would be pretty darn cool. We talking the 175 or 190kw Alloytec here. Either way thats a very different conversion. Keep us updated.
