    Default Layout of search function

Firstly I'll say I understand this could well be out of the control of Admins here. However it is something I find a little frustrating.

When searching, it is difficult to move from the results page back to the advanced search page and make another similar search.

For example, I may want to search for "MX83 2JZGTE" and initially will do it only in "Tech and conversions" and only in "Thread title". If this turns up nothing, it'd be nice to be able to just hit "Back" and just change it to "Entire post" and search again.

Currently you need to select advanced search again then re-enter all the info.

    Thanks
    Hen

PS, If I am missing something obvious that lets you do this, please let me know.
I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

I'm having the same problem with the advanced search feature, not to mention a typo then means you have to wait 10 seconds before searching again grr.
    If in doubt power out

is 10s really that bad when you whore as much as you do

I agree, hitting the back button and just adding a phrase or choosing a different option would be nicer then having to re-type everything!

    Ben,

I just tried your example, hit the back button, and everything remained...

    What browser do you use?

OK, I feel a little silly now... But I found out what I was really trying to ask.

Yes, if you get some results, then hitting back will take you to the Advanced search page with the info still there. However if you get no results then "back" takes you to the no results page again. And hitting "back" again takes you to the page you were on before the Advanced search.

So it seems like it's just a problem if you get no results.
