Got to the clutch assembly today. The flywheel has a step but it's something around 0.25 mm I'd say. Still haven't solved this mystery. Going to take some more measurements tomorrow.

Re: 4AGE "Heavy Duty" Clutch issue
Admittedly we didn't machine the flywheel but I was unaware of flywheel step at the time, this was over 3 years ago.
I'll try and look into this different throwout bearing as the AE92/93 4AGE came with two different thickness of throwout bearing because of different clutch forks. When this change took place between models something no one has yet clarified.

Re: 4AGE "Heavy Duty" Clutch issue
I have a similar problem with my button clutch for the st162.
however, the clutch pedal needs to be on the floor to change gears and friction point is about 5mm away from the floor

Re: 4AGE "Heavy Duty" Clutch issue
Hehe thats cause its a button clutch! You should try driving the SAE car man, a motobike clutch thats pedal operated is a bit*h, and having less horsepower ten a bike and having to take off at least 4500 to just to crawl doesn't help either
Back to that clutch problem at hand! When I did my clutch the throw out bearing supplied with the kit looked completely wrong so we took it back and had it changed to one the same as was on the car and I haven' had any problems since
