Here's some more single turbo goodness on a 1G-GTE.

    Cheers, Greg.

check out this one on ebay

selling a very well built stainless manifold, will suit ant t2x turbo i recon the GT28RS would be the perfect all round turbo on a 1g

note: this set up sits lower and slightly closer to the engine than the stock twins, so if they fit your engine bay then this high mount will fit perfectly

I stayed with the twin route and went with the Blitz Bag turbos. They fit right on "off the shelf" and are a big improvement over stock! (they also keep all the factory heat shields etc and look stock ish... which I like)

Stock rev 3 injectors are 315 cc... I know a chap here in the uk that got 320 hp at the fly on stock injectors and blitz bag turbos. -But they injectors were right on their limits.

I am currently looking for some decent injectors to upgrade to onmine that are stock fitment with no alterations of loom addons needed.... any suggestions? Its a shame 7M-GTE ones are low impedance!

I did the Blitz Bag turbo path same as Karma Supra but in Celica77 case it’s different. Blitz Bag turbos can only be found second hand as far as I know.... unless u are very lucky mofo, and even then not a Huge improvement over stock comparing to new ball bearing type turbos you can mount on a single manifold. I went for the Blitz cause I got them for 400 bux and everything standard just fitted back on.... simple upgrade no hassles.....yet to see what they can produce on my car but single makes more sense if you are after reasonable power upgrade.... my 2c

You can still get them new the chap I got mine off bought them brand new, and only used them for 3000 miles. They don't come as a turbo as such, more as a rebuild kit (hence BAG turbo I guess)

As for Ying off the stock manifold.... I wouldn't its VERY restrictive! although even when used with stock turbos it can be ported out a small amount to help with flow!

Don't get me wrong, good power can be got.. (I feckin hope!!!) but with the effort that has gone into my engine build, the flowed head, blitz turbos etc... the stock (albeit slightly ported in my case) manifold is still a large restriction.

All the gasses that leave the engine flow through two very small holes... not much larger then 32mm if my memory serves me correctly (which it rarely does!)

Of course your Die hard 1G-er could say that as that is the narrowest point in the entire air flow system, that is where air flows fastest... - to spool up those turbos.

Can any of you guys with the Blitz Bag turbo's add any info to the 1G Turbo Tech thread ?

I am very curious as to how they actually compare to the Gen 3 1G turbo's and pipework.
