TREND FOR TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY:
Fine, very hot. A humid change Wednesday. Max temps: mid to high 30s.
    Sounds perfect.

I can vouch for hot track temps costin me .4 of a second.

Maybe not so important for the N/A cars and the V8's but the turbo 4's and 6's will run considerably quicker with the colder air temps, not to mention them simply attaining higher boost levels from the colder air.
Lets face it no matter the track temp is, traction on kwinana is shit, why have 2 shit things to deal with rather than 1.

I believe traction is far easier to overcome than hot air, so im keen for a cold night. Im sure most people would agree. Either way traction isnt gunna happen for most of us.

    Matty
p.s. no offence peewee, just my opinion and previous kwinana experience.

None taken Matty, I'm just sharing my experiences too.

But when I can launch 1000rpm higher on Reid Hwy and not get any wheelspin (at night time too), then there is something wrong.

In my experience the Kwinana track needs to be hot to be sticky, warm tyres or not.
VERY few cars manage to launch effectively without wheel spin.
Most cars end up smoking most of the way through first gear. (yes, this could very well be the driver )

I don't really mind either way.. the weather could swing again next week, who knows...

For now I think we just push it forward to 22 Feb and see how it goes. if the weather goes bad we can push it back again until they finally let us race!

    Complaints?

Just have to make sure everyone is still keen and can make it for the 22nd.

i should be ok for next week, bit short on funds but im sure i can sort something out..

My opinion- if we go soon then most ppl should still be keen, if we leave it too long after all this work then some ppl might just give up and not bother..

22nd sounds like a good idea..

Ok - I was one of the stupid buggers who didn't have enough time to check - so the Supra got a nice long drive down the freeway & back.
It looks like I'll be able to make it though for Wed 22nd.
Probably two mates with Skylines will be there too.
