mullett, I think most folks are going the other way, using the 1G pistons in a 4K. using the K in a G would require fly cutting of valve reliefs, an expensive operation. Surely the technology in a 1G would be superior to that in a "K" engine. I would send a sample piston from the dead "G" off to get some new ones made. You would be surprized what the piston makers might have on the shelf.
