w55/57/58 onto 18r/g

w50 starting to make a bit of bearing noise, got a spare w5x sitting here doing nothing. Aware that i'll have to change tailshaft . . . no biggie wouldnt mind getting rid of the 2 peice. Anyone know the best way to get the box on the the 18rg???

it will bolt in ,you need a 21rc bellhousing and the tail shaft splines are the same so that will bolt in as well

Yep, Witzl had a thread on this a while back, search around it has plenty of info.

The box is the same length and the spline is the same so no tailshaft changes are necessary, you do however have to do some custom work with the crossmember.

depending on shifter position of the w58, you make have to mod the shifter hole.

the boxes from the RA65s and RT142s have the correct shifter for RA23/28/40
