Jerking while cruising can also be caused by not advancing the ignition far enough during cruising (what vac adv did on older cars).
Im not too familiar with the 22RE, but if it does have a vac advance system, check it out.
The previous owner decided it was a good ida to mess around with the AFM on my 22RE. The engine idles a bit high and seems to jerk a bit when cruising around 1500-3000RPM. Im not sure if the jerking is related to the AFM but I want to at least solve the idle. How do I set the AFM back to the stock settings? The wheel inside doesnt seem to have any markings on it to indicate anything.

There will be no stock mark because its a sealed not meant to be adjusted unit. Your best bet would be to buy another that has the silicon still in place. Alternatively you could do your own dicking around with it but without a wideband you probably wont be able to get it back to stock.
