    Smile AE93 4agze rebuilt engine re-install [pics] :)

    Hey ppl.
Just incase anyone is interested, after spinning a big-end bearing on cylinder no.4 my poor ae101 4agze with less than 70000kms was sadly gone. After paying the original engine off over the last few months, i finally saved some money to get the rebuild. Car was off the road for over 9 months.

    -- Engine Rebuild Details --
    builder: WTF auto (perth)
    basic specs:
    MAHLE forged pistons
    race bearings
    ARP head bolts
    metal head gasket
    100kw 4age crank shaft (balanced)
    100kw 4age rods (balanced in 2 dimensions)
    88kw 4age cam shafts
std rebore and new rings etc
    Cost : ~$3500-$4000

    -- costs --
All up it cost me around $5k to get the new engine kitted out totalling about $8k ive now spent just on engines in the last year. Id say its about time to close the seca project and move on.

    -- time to do --
took about 1 week to do on my own. Got block back pretty bare and reassembled, then installed and plugged back up. Clocked up about 50 hours of work over 3 days. Didn't sleep

Ive got an SAFC and overdrive SC pulley waiting to go on after the 600x300x76mm FMIC is properly welded up. Should be fun

Some pics. A couple of pose shots. Like the stupid light on my head like im a friggin miner...it just felt right.

    Peace
    Daniel

haha yeh i know. Apprently we got pretty famous for that. Ive had random people see my car and comment that they have seen the pvc pictures on random forums around australia.

We are taking bodgepro to the next step. We've registerd ABN and totally revamped the website which is almost ready to go live. Its funny shit

Yeh EA air con pulley -> SC12 was the bomb.

That SC12 i got off you is in heaps better condition than my original (no teflon holes) so she should be good for 14psi again. The large FMIC brings the boost down to around 12-13psi when running EA pulley with ABV removed.

I did a write up on the good-old toymods ages ago

    http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.p...art=0&count=60

    --next steps--
    finish FMIC piping
    spray bonnet black
    install ea SC12 pulley
roll rear guards & lower car more
install my ae101 rotors shaved to 262mm & twin piston calipers
install my SAFC and get dyno tune
    /end seca project

    <start> project
    RX7 S5
