Standard rebuild with sidedraught weber DCOE45
It has 34mm chokes, f16 emulsion tubes, 165 main jets, f9 idle jets, 3.5 auxiliary venturis and 180 air correctors.
    It is making 78rwkw

    Cheers,
    Peter

Cant believe I missed this thread during my research for my RG rebuild!

    K&N air filters
    Rebuilt & tuned 40mm solex's
Minor port work done to the head
    After market valve springs
    Reground cams
    18RGU bored to 2058CC
    10.2:1 CR forged pistons
    All internals balanced
    Hurricane extractors & exhaust
    Standard distributor

= 88RWKW which sounds pretty good compared to some similar spec'd engines in this thread.

Heh,not to rain on your parade but the 18R (yes,no-G) I made some years ago:92 mm flattops (cheap VW's),ported head with bigger intakes(maybe from MB),selfmade intake for 40 mm sidedrafts (32 mm chokes),stock cam and cast exhaust manifold,2" exhaust and stock ignition.132 hp and 213 Nm.Have the dyno sheet somewhere to check at what rpm but from memory about same as stock(quite natural considering the stock .. well, maybe it was 8R cam)

Just to remind that some shitpile iron singlecam head can deliver ;-)

Only for fun and to try what can be available cheap;no means max effort!

Thats a really good outcome from a single cam!

    Mine
40mm twin side draft webbers choked to 36mm (or 34mm need to confirm)
    30-70 Cam grind
18r bottom end, Crank and block.
    18rgu pistons and rods
    18rgu head

120hp on the dyno. The motor is still bedding in so after the next 1000-2000km I'll get another dyno and tune. (unless anyone thinks this is pointless)

Finally got around to getting mine tuned today. 125hp and 117ft-lb. Not quite fully tuned as it popped the head gasket between 3 and 4 before final adjustments.
