send me some money and ill tell you heheheh

sorry dont give any info out on here anymore

any engine that was not in a front cut will not come with diagnostic plug that sits under the dash

that is the one u need wired up for live data scanning

even if you got a front cut there is 1% chance that htey wired it up

i rarely do cause customer doesnt have it

but i do wire them in if there is probs and my snap on scanner can plug in and read live data

and my scanner does work on all 1js sort off

if it did it from the start them you should have taken it back

i would even try bypassing the safc and just do a quick rev and see what timing is doing

just incase its hooked up to some ignition wire and its causing a problem

well when i first got the car back i just thought it was the twin turbos on their way out and i didn't really know what to expect out of that setup. I got the diagnostic plug in the engine bay but as i said not sure if it works, he has put 3 scan tools on it none of them worked. I have run out of ideas, i have given him a wiring diagram he will look over it over the weekend hopefully he can find the problem. hopefully it is something really stupid that we have looked over and that i can get some more power out of the car.

    one would expect boost retard.
whats it doing when you blip the throttle? does it advance?
it should advance then retard as it comes on boost...

    Option 1
Get the wiring diagram and wire up a CEL. Just use any globe as that is all it does really.

    Option 2
Try and check everything on the engine from coils, plugs, connections, cam sensors, crank sensor, knock sensor, igniter, cam timing (check that!),

    Option 3
Do the above in 2 and then get a standalone so you can take full advantage of your setup. Adaptronics are pretty damn cheap for what they can do.

BTW what was your MPH and weight of car again?

thanks for that chris, i will tell him to hook up the light, im pretty sure he has the codes as well. i had a feeling could be something to do with the cam sensor or something along those lines.

the strange thing is the car doesn't miss at all and drives fine its just it being down on power.

the car ran a 116mph and the car weighs probably bout another 150kg more than what a standard s13 weighs so prob bout 1250-1300kg but that would be taking a guess.

Ok, trapping 116mph with a race weight of 1325kg it says you should be making 302rwhp. Your dyno reads 315rwhp so that is 4.6% high which is basically the same as mine.

I don't think you are down on power. Sounds to me like you just need to give it a bit more boost and you will make the power.

My car weighing 1280kg running 14psi trapped 114mph, running 17psi would have trapped about 118mph if I wasn't a wuss and only used 2/3 throttle and trapped 115mph with that. As your car wouldn't be much heavier than mine I think you are pretty spot on at 116mph at 17psi.

Hey guys finally got the car back today.

Car feels like a totally different car runs really well. Feels like it has alot more torque onto boost feels tiny bit more lagy but its mid range is really good.

here is before and after dyno charts both dynos are about the same accuracy.

here is first dyno chart had another tune after this one and made bout the same power and it also had the dip in the power between 4000-4500 also running 17psi.

here is second dyno chart. he fixed alot of things iac was leaking, fixed a small hole in cooler, pcv wasn't plumbed right. spent heaps of time fixing little bits of dodgy stuff like bits with the wiring and alot of other stuff. Notice air temp and intake temp on this dyno chart compared to last one. The day it was dyno'd was that extremely hot day in brisbane. It was also running 1 bar. Power band is alot better with no dip in power.

    http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d11/53tup/2.jpg

the car is tuned for 18psi but he printed out the wrong dyno chart he said it made around the 330rwhp at 18psi he didn't want to run it too many times on that boost as the heat that day was ridiculous. Now i will just have to take the car up with slicks and see how i go.
