    Default CT12A turbos on 1G

    hey guys just a quick question is there any modification to put CT12A turbos onto a 1GGTE if so what do i need to do to?

    From what I have read, its far from an easy swap. I have also heard someone has done it but it didnt perform much better, if at all better than the stockers. For all that stuffing around you would be better off going a cusom setup with some sort of decent turbo/s to make it all worth while.

    oh ok cheers mate well looks like i be going with the CT12 turbos cause my turbo seals are gone. but planing to go 1J soon but just want to get it back on the road for abit than go with the 1J.

    i think the main problem youd actually run into is the dumps are too close together so you would have to modify your manifold or go custom.

    But im pretty sure it would give a nice lil boost in performance actually. They are larger and ceramic aswell. However for ease and performance you would be much better going single on a 1G

    swaping the turbos to ct12a's doenst steer you away from the problem that the exhaust housings are to small, go a single turbo swap you wont regret it
