ra28 5spd into '83 hilux

just curious as to whether the stock ra28 5spd will drop straight into an '83 hilux running an 18r and a 4spd with a shagged clutch. my parents arnt really interested in paying to fix it and they wont let me do it. im wondering if its worth cutting a deal with them and scoring myself a cheap lil runabout

any advice would b appreciated especially from those who may have done this b4

I would think it would be a pretty straight swap as long as it is not a 4WD .
I converted an 85 hilux auto to a manual and was a straight swap with just a rear gearbox mount change and tailshaft. Speedo bolted straight in as well.
