its a crank angle sensor mate

Next time you drive the car and it does it pour water over the front of the engine ( around harmonic balancer) and it should start !

Have seen plenty of these in my time .

Got a similar problem in a mates EF, Just wondering is there anyway to figure out whether its a bad CAS or Coil Pack. It starts now but it might stop again while driving. Somebody mentioned poor water all over the crank pulley, is that to cool down the CAS because it overheats?

Yeah the water cools it down enough sometimes for it to function again . Dont poor it over the coil pack though .

When it stops does the fuel cut out, or spark cut out ? Checked for bad earths or fords are renowned for bad battery terminal issues too.

So wondering how can I rule out whether it's Coil or CAS. There is a 2 wire plug just above the main pulley, is that the Plug for the CAS? Seems to be a bit dirty.

once we get it cranking it firs up and runs perfectly - well as good as a falcon motor can

hahahaha...an im guessin what followed was a series of dots then 4 letters that were sensored??
