    Default 1ggte tacho

Ive recently got my stock RT142 tacho calibrated for a 6 cylinder and the signal boosted as it didnt even register. I got the work carried out at a instrument workshop in western sydney. However it still doesnt work! If the work was carried out, would the changes to the circuit board of the tacho be noticable?I opened up the instrument cluster and there didnt seem to be any noticable difference between the modified one and another one i have that is still stock. Is there any way to check my ecu is putting out a signal to the tacho?

oscilloscope is the best way of looking at a signal.

and a function generator would be good for testing the tacho

what signal booster did u use

i have 3 types and i usually get them working with atleast one of them

theres a common one i use on toyotas and one for nissans

was the place at lidcome or blacktown

tacho signal comes from ignitor not ecu

u need a multimeter with a tacho rpm reader u can buy them at jaycar for 50 bucks

I got it done at MIS at blacktown, the one you recommended for me sideshow when you wired up my old blue corona. When you wired it up, i dont think you used a booster at all cuz I was going to get the tacho calibrated anyway and bosted at the same time, if that was possible. I have a expensive multimeter that has the functions you are talking about,(I think) ill have to toy with it tomorrow.
