I reckon it'd be worth coming just to watch at least, you're bound to get lots of passenger rides, and there might be a chance of you getting a spot on the day. Daryl would know whether there's any spots left.

I for one will be at the carseldine caltex meeting spot early sunday morning (6am-ish)

Am sorry that i wont be there - but for those considering the drive up - dont let the weather deter you - rain just makes the event more fun as the skid pan gets uper-slippery.

Best skids I saw up there were when the rain came bucketing down!!

I hope youz all have heaps a fun.

I'm not sure what time exactly, but I think its something like 8:30 or 9am for the drivers briefing. I usually just convoy it up there from carseldine caltex soon after 6am and arrive with a decent bit of time to spare before it starts.

Many thanks to the CCC for organising such a good event!
I had a top day once again, was great to get the big ol drifto barge out on the slippery stuff I didnt stick around till the end as i figured i wasnt in with any sort of chance for a trophy and got mega sunburnt (stupid sun, it was raining at the coast all day!!) so thought i better call it a day after the last course (cant believe i didnt spin )
Did anyone get any pics or vids that they want to put up?
Thanks again to all who organised the day, cant wait till the next one

    cheers
    Jeff

pics also show that adam_aw11 was there (gun-metal MR2), as well as Jeff and Lincoln from the Toyota Car Club were there.

looked like much crazy skidness was the tone of the day? ;-)

yeah it was an awesome fun day, and the weather was really surprising, pretty hot and sunny most of the time, after expecting a wet day with all the clouds and rain on the way up there.

And that soarer does look pretty good on the skidpan Hoges, lowered with nice wheels really does the trick.

And I saw that orangy-brown sprinter when I was lining up. Nice wheels on it , I think they're exactly the same as mine! are they 15inch NVD-086?

At the end of the day I was quite pleased to find I had won the 4cyl rwd class

I was passenger in hoges jzz30. I was there in the arvo. IMO those zig zag's suck! Give us some nice sweeping corners to step the arse out! Skid pan is for skids!

wow thats awesome adam, well done mate! You wouldnt happen to know who won the other classes would you?

Yeah i agree chris, slowly driving through a zigzag isnt exactly my idea of fun, but i guess as this was a motorkhana they need those type of courses? btw you should have left 10mins later, i killed it on the last course (big circle) had the tail out on the rev limiter the whole way round twice, didnt spin out this time
