Thumbs up Re: 6-speed GB for 20valve FWD?!

    Rob,
Thanks for replying, yeah i did try a few in syd, such as just japs, sss automotives - one tells me its from a MR2 and another bloke tells me its from a lexus, both have none in stock and haven't had any in stock for some time.
I thought a few people here would have some idea and thought i would get a quick and easy reponse, after all this is a 'friendly environment where we learn to modify our cars'.....right?

you'd be after a C160 from an AE111 Trueno or Levin, usually in the BZ-R and in another model I can't recall at the moment.

Looks just like the 5-speed apart from the end case is a bit longer to accomodate the extra gear. It didn't come out in the MR2.

The ZZ celica's and ZZE123 corolla sportivo's also use C series 6-speeds which you can swap your 5-speed front casing onto in order to make it compatible with an A series motor. There's info on this swap at www.mr2oc.com in the MKI section from memory. It's a fair bit of work, but possible if you're determined.
