I have managed to get hold of a aircon compressor bracket for my 18rg, it suits a rotary type, As the old one was a piston type, I have little idea as to what model of toyota compressor will suit. Any ideas.

OK,a rotary one, I suppose a search of the wreckers is the only way to get an idea of size and brand.

FYI: The SV21 camrys were fitted with a rotary type compressor, and the mountings on the compressor are common.

The reason I suggest this, is because you'd have no problem finding an SV21 in a wreckers yard and most of them had A/C.

When you find a suitable one, (you may know this already) place your fingers over the inlet / outlet ports and turn the compressor, if you can feel vacuum on one finger and "pushing" on the other, it's good. If not, don't buy it....
