Your main options are:
- Mitsubishi Starion (15/16")
- Nissan R32/S13 (1")
- Nissan Patrol (17/16")
They are the easiest, and all will bolt up. All are likely to require basic modification to the pipework in the general vicinity.

 Ae86 master cyl upgrade
Can any of you knowledgable people tell me which 22mm Dia master cylinder to use in my Ae 86 Sprinter. Maybe Camry? If so which model/year?
I am getting a bit too much pedal travel after fitting bigger discs front and rear.
Thanks

 Re: Ae86 master cyl upgrade
I have posted a number of times (as have others) the Toyota part number for the 1" bore Camry master cylinder that uses the same horizontal 2-bolt mount as seen on the AE86/AE71.
Taken from here:Late model Camry 2 bolt brake master cylinder (p/n 47201-06190) bolts directly to TA22/AE86/TE72/AE71 booster for those running bigger brakes & needing to get rid of the spongy pedal ST205 celica fits also, but lines are slightly different.

Ah, didnt realise that the TA22 booster is the same MC pattern as the AE86

...KE30>AE71/AE86 corollas all had the same horizontal two bolt spacing. The KE30 and TA22 booster appears to be an identical unit from what I can tell.Originally Posted by takai

Interesting, i wonder if the firewall bolt spacing is the same then. I guess ill find that one out when i rip apart this junk 22.

I'd certainly be interested to know if the larger AE86 booster could be mounted to the early KE30/TA22 firewall sans modification

 Re: Ae86 master cyl upgrade
Well i guess i will find out soon. I have a spare (albeit dead) AE86 booster, and a crap 22....

Some Landcruisers also offers a 1" 2 bolt unit that will fit.

 Re: Ae86 master cyl upgrade
A lot of Mitsubishi Commercial vehicles have the same 2-bolt pattern as the AE86 Booster. I used a Triton 15/16" one, very easy to find at wreckers.
Just a note of caution, unless you are upgrading your calipers to a very dissimilar type of caliper, you may find that you will lose brake 'feel' and the pedal will need to be pushed much harder for a given brake input when you upgrade your master cylinder. I had FC RX7 Calipers with the aforementioned Master, and I probably should have gone with the 7/8" option, as you had to mash the brakes much harder than with the 13/16" master (problem was that the pedal nearly hit the floor with it...

That carries across a lot of the Mistubishi range including lancers, mirages, even the early EVOs (not sure beyond EVO3 though).A lot of Mitsubishi Commercial vehicles have the same 2-bolt pattern as the AE86 Booster. I
That is a good point, the Mazda RX7 would have had substantially more assistance from its booster than your AE86 booster would have provided, hence even using the same size master cylinder bore as the caliper donor car you may require much more effort at the pedal.Just a note of caution, unless you are upgrading your calipers to a very dissimilar type of caliper, you may find that you will lose brake 'feel' and the pedal will need to be pushed much harder for a given brake input when you upgrade your master cylinder. Re: Ae86 master cyl upgrade
I find the 1" combined with Nissan calipers works well - have used it on several cars now. The weeny boosters make for a somewhat hard pedal, but I like it that way anyway.

 Re: Ae86 master cyl upgrade
The 4 bolt holes in the fire wall for the booster are all the same on these cars: KE30, KE55, TE72, AE71, AE86, RT104.
 Re: Ae86 master cyl upgrade
 Re: Ae86 master cyl upgrade
And if the TA22 booster is the same as the KE30 one this would suggest that the AE86 booster would fit to a TA22...
Will confirm.
