OST Dyno Day #2 - Held at XSpeed - 11th March

OST Dyno Day #2 WILL be held @ XSpeed on 11th March 2006.

First car on the rollers at 10am, so be there 9:30 onwards.

Location: XSpeed - 18 Zeta Crescent, O'Connor (workshop driveway on Zeta Cres)

Food: There is a Lunch Bar across the road.

Shelter: There is undercover shelter inside the workshop, easy room for 30+ppl to stand and watch, but there is no cover outside. Bring a Hat!

Parking: Park on the street, across the road, in CLOSED business's driveways.
DO NOT park in the XSpeed driveway unless you are next on the Dyno.
Instructions to this will be given on the day.

Positions: Are full at this stage. Register here for a backup position incase people drop out.

Trophies: Yet to be determined.

Cost: $45 per car

You will get 2 runs, one after the other. Printout of your best run will be given.

I think its time to start organising another OST Dyno Day.

Its been a good 6 months I think?? or at least it will be by the time the next one comes.

20th August I think the last one was, so somewhere around the 20th Feb would be good.
(hmm, thats only 6 weeks away, maybe another couple of weeks would be good)

Not sure where you guys want to hold it though.
HyperDrive has the benefit of a big carpark.
I went to one at XSpeed a few months back, and you had to park down the street, so that wasn't the best.
Any other suggestions?
OvaBoost perhaps? (South east corner of Malaga, about 1-2km from HyperDrive)

Which trophies?
Last time was Top HP, and Closest Guess.
I'm not sure if its time to break it up into as many catagories as the Toymods Dyno day (they have 9 all up), but I wouldn't mind seeing a couple more catagories.

Best Improved would be a good one, but we'll have to lay down some ground rules first.
Obviously if you've kept the same motor and done mods to it, you'll be eligible.
How about a conversion like Robs - 1GGE to 1GGTE?
How about one like Damo's Planned - 1GGE to 7MGTE?
How about my predicament - 1UZ Cressida at the last one, this one will be a 1UZ Soarer?
I don't think a change of car and motor should count, but I'll leave that open to the board.

I'm up for another dyno day. Would probably prefer something a smidge later. I'd like some Microleb love before I go, have a crack at most improved

I'm happy with Hyperdrive, they were fast, helpful and have a shitload of parking without having to resort to the street.

Those two trophies are a given. Most improved should be as per Toymods on a car per car basis. You could argue that someone slapping in a more powerful engine doesn't deserve it over someone thats worked theirs, but there is still a lot of work in an engine conversion! On that token, the first two are valid (but pssht, sif Damo will be ready

) but your V8's are different cars so not valid.

Thats my 2c anyway.

hey, i would be interested.. i could ask Mick form OvaBoost, know him pretty well, they got a decent car park too, but they got a lot of cars inside workshop which would occupy a few spots...

I'm up for a dyno day.
mick(ovaboost) is a good bloke, him and brad run a pretty tight ship. and they just happen to be my tuners anyway.
I don't really care when, as long as we have enough time to organise days off work for those of us that work weekends.

Mick has also done work on my car.. i have found his work great.. he is especially good at tuing Microtech and EMS computers..

him and brad are also top blokes and some hell funny bastards

dyno day sounds good, will any one be offended if i park my stock 22r 'lux on the dyno? i can take the air filter out and go for teh least improved... what would the cost roughly be?

the supra will be alive and kicking by the 22nd of this month, so ill definatley be in to see if its kicking out more than the stock 180rwhp they're known for
