why should i pm u - id just tell everyone..

there is very little work they do inhouse -my mate was lead to believe that they know what they are doing however cut a long well (make it a very long) storey short. mate took his head to them to get ported etc - they sent it to kosteckies (or however its spelt) to get ported sent to low cost cylinderhead to get machined/ assembled. was qooted approx 1200 dollars and 1-2 weeks turnaround - after 2 weeks xspeed quotes "yep heads been ported and is now in the process of being asembled come pick it up friday".......friday comes " sorry been a delay u can pick it up monday" mate goes down monday " its not here..." mates has a go at em " what the fuck are u guys playing at" . another cople of weeks later... " wheres by head....." "yes it just about to get ported...." "but u said it had already been ported..."

15 weeks later after he gave am a bad rep on sau they still never completed the assemble (he was just given the shims and he had to take it to get the clearances set up and complete the assembly at his own expense.. all up quote was close to 3 grand but they gave it to him for 700 (250 of which was the cost of the shims supplied by xspeed) so that he would stop posting all his dramas on sau.. bootom line THEY ARE A BUCNCH OF FUCKING LIARS WHO DONT EVEN DO THE WORK EMSELF AND TAKE CREDIT FOR THE WORK DDONE IF ITS A SUCCESS OF BLAME THE PERSON WHOO DID THE WORK IF IT FAILS INN THE MEAN TIME COLLECTING THEIR PERCENTAGE MARKUP... its this type of info that shgould be given positive reps and ive only told ya 1 of the xspeed stories.. havent even started with hyperdrive yet but im not going their cause "every body" loves em.... (to anyone that thinks im being unfare about sharing experiences please pm me and ill remove name rather then having to login in agian with a new user name and email)

sorry but i havent been in the car tuning/performance scene long enough yet -i do all the stuff myself however im stuck when it comes to tuning. i was contemplating ovaboost although i havent looked much into their history but mick is a friendly bloke unlike lumpy or ken for that matter - esp ken!!!. i know race torque are very very good but will be reluctant to touch low hp street cars as the specialise in rally/track cars

i doubt there are really any places which have a perfect history, but you also cant let history judge the future of a shop

im not doubting the reliablity of your story lol i have heard some bad things about xpeed as well and 'aparently' from what rumours ive heard they are heading a lil downhill :S but i mean i would still give them ago from my own peace of mind compared to third party experiences and have my own opinion. You never know they might do a good job and be helpful, spose we will see when we go on the 11th

Yeah, Ken can be a grumpy bastard, but I've had nothing but top service from Lumpy since before I gave them any money.

yeah ill have to agree when u watch em stick a 4wd stagea on a 2wd dyno and sit back and watch smoke bellowing from underneath the car because they frying the clutch packs in the transfer case, what is not funny is that it was my mates car and they still charged him half the price of a power run ($50)

    regarding XSpeed for a sec..

ive known the owner, Hanson Tan for about 9 years. i know he personally used to get his hands quite grubby doing a lot of work as hed come home at night covered in grease in his overalls.. id also seen some of the work hed done first hand, including a GTO Engine into a Magna, his rumbling UZZ31 and his STi 3 WRX Race Car.. all good work.

i dont know how much of a part he plays in the operation of his business these days as i havent seen him in quite a while.. but it would hardly surprise me if he went back to Singapore to run the XSpeed workshop there.. and XSpeed there works with Ferrari's as well..

if theres any problem now.. its a problem with current management and the way problems are handled rather than the business itself. XSpeed used to have a top notch rep back around 2000/01.. maybe write a letter to Hanson discussing your issues perhaps.. might help...

mate i totally agree with ya, but hansen still does work their. but u right jamie the little pofta who dances at connections (mick will confirm that as jamie used to work for him for about 1 week) is not with it and when u phone the dyno/tuning line and get this hell sweet innocent 30-40 year old asian woman who doesnt know a thing about cars picks up the line.... well u guys would know what its like. when my mate spoke to manager (hanson) my mate had to walk to the back of the workshop aeway from customers.

and one thing i cant stand about the whole car scene whether performance or competion is when people buy a vehicle change the colour scheme and stick their logos on and claim it as their own achievement... happens alot eg ex american drag cars and if u havent guessed it "geetah"

guys comon' not really topic worthy is it now!
Keep it on track. about turning up to the day, not bitching bout particular workshops. Everybody has a problem with some workshop so leave it for "off topic". not this section.
