Personally I have had some experience with Xspeed, in particular they were very uninterested to talk to my mate about working to his 1982 Gemini, whereas at least Mick (OvaBoost) had a chat to him about his options.
just some thoughts...![]()

About to go Exterior crazy.
Like everyone else on this planet, they will have some bad amongst a large amount of good days.
If you happen to catch someone on a bad day, you'll leave with a tainted experience.
JZA70R, I'm guessing you told Ken, and not Lumpy directly. If you told Ken, I'm not surprised he laughed, its the kind of guy he is, its just his way. If you had managed to tell Lumpy directly, then I'm surprised that happened. If Ken had relayed this information to Lumpy, then its highly possible he forgot on the 2nd run, he's human, he makes mistakes.

Well common, a Gemini? ...XSpeed are a prestigeous Japanese car tuning shop. And is that still classed as personal experience even though it was your mates car?Originally Posted by Ben
I think the workshop bitching should stop here and let the thread go back on topic. Ultimately its not yours or my decision which venue will be used so...
As long as its not Genie performance center lol...
I went with my housemate to check out Xspeed.Originally Posted by JZA70 R

Prestigeous Japanese car tuning shop? <--? according to whom? Isuzu is Japanese car company and Geminis were common to work on not too long ago. Ever checked out a G200W?
About to go Exterior crazy.
Anyhoo,
how is that list coming along? Looks like its gonna be bigger than last year![]()

I agree that there will be for and against for all workshops. Some have good experiences, others will have negative comments.Originally Posted by CrUZida

The car park was ample, and i don't recall anyone having drama's with speed humps?!
They were good enough to fit us in on a Saturday when they are normally not open on a Saturday.
We even borrowed their BBQ facilities.

only my opinion but i reckon stick with HD,
i personally found out X-Speed may do fantastic work, but will only pay attention to you if you either have bags with dollar signs printed on then hanging from your arms or a great wad of cash in your pocket, or your wallet has split from all the hundred dollar bills... well you get the picture....
i found unless you paying them a lot they will not offer advice or helpful hints etc...

right..........just to piss everyone off, this OST dyno day 2 will be held at Xspeed
couple of reasons..... basically changing things up, so south river people dont have to hike it to hyperdrive..... plus, people talking about mods and xspeed turning them down or whatever......this is just a dyno day.....no tuning or buying parts are required to participate
and no doubt the next dyno day will be held somewhere else again
in my LIMITED experience...... some people can judge a book by it's cover, and most tuning, import performance places are generally a great bunch of guys and gals
there are 20 spots available and the cost is $40 per car, and it will be held early March (saturday starting at 10am)
sorry for the time, but it gives me time and you bums to finalise things
my spot will prolly go to someone else if we run over..... as i dont really require the same poor reading again![]()
