well........this was discussed today as a matter of fact

ok ok ok........i had fun putting on the last one, i will endevour to do it again

hyperdrive was great last time, so i see no problems in doing it their again, although i will have to confirm dates and such, so i will start to get things rolling this week

at this time, i could see it being about 2 months away, as they were booked up before, and i ordered the day ..........like .... 2 months ahead.....

as for throphies, iam with cruzida.... i dont think it's time for classes as such, but i do however like the idea of another best improved trophie

we will require around 30 cars for this to go ahead, we had 20 last time and blitzed through it in record time.... so if people are keen, please make a list.........

eg, 1. Rob Arcus, Toyota Supra, rwd
    2. Joe Bloggs, Nissan Micra, fwd

    thoughts ?

I'll have to edit it from the "Annual" dyno day to the - whenever peewee sticks a V8 in a car Dyno Day... hehehe

But yeah - I'm not too keen on sticking the 1G back on the dyno, but will be keen if the 7M is in (will depend on peewee availability and cash flow).

If Rob is happy to organise another one tho - I'm sure there will be plenty of other interest from a lot of people that missed the last one.

more OST events you say? - bring it on!!

Oh, just another thought about ground rules.
Now that this is officially OSToys, are we having a limit as to who is elegible for the trophies.

Will the dyno remain 'Toyota' only?
Are we going to enforce the pre1990 cutoff for elegibility?
OST 'members' only? (not sure how you'd class someone as a member or not?)

Just thought I'd raise these now, before any bitching happens.

My take on the whole event is that it would be open to whoever shows up and shells out the dollars to enter the event.. they should all then be qualified to win an award. No point paying $40 to enter only to be told you "don't qualify" (once again - who qualifies and who doesn't would be a shady area)

The association of OST would merely reflect the comittee organising the event.

Whilst pre-90's Toyota's would be the dominant entrants - others will not be disqualified or shuned... for instance, I have a keen interest in seeing what a certain 1991 "KOOLISM" Supra will be pushing out on the rollers..
That said - I would keep it Japanese only of course.. no big block V8 commodores and stuff like that

Thats my view on the subject.. but of course its open for discussion and suggestions..

Thats fair enough, but there are always friends of ppl who will want to come.
At a 'Soarer' dyno day I went to, a supercharged VY Commodore LS1 came in and did 500+rwhp.
Being a Soarer dyno day, he wasn't eligible for the trophies, but he still paid his way.
It was a cool thing to see on the dyno none-the-less

If that was to occur at the OST day, and he took the Highest HP Trophy, that wouldn't be cool by my thinkings.

Maybe limit it to the 'official' OST members.
I'm not sure if you guys have been keeping tabs on who is a member, and who just rocks up and talks to no one. But I'll leave that for you to figure out.

Just my thoughts, I'm not running the day so I'll live with what ever decisions are made.

But yeah.. I guess like peewee says.. if the ground rules are laid down first and people are still happy to pay their way - then thats fine.
At the last one, we had a 500+hp Skyline run on the rollers.. he wasn't part of the OST crew obviously - but I agree that its still good to watch!

The finer details can be nutted out over due course..

Sounds like we have 4 or 5 people interested so far..
still another 20 people to round up!!..
Without the numbers - the event can't go ahead..

The numbers will be made up, I wouldn't worry about that.

And Japanese only sits fine with me. (I missed your quote before)
