Yup, assuming both are the same body type (ie hatch/coupe) it should swap right over.

an ma61 fuel tank will also be a straight swap (not that they're easier to find, but just another option)

rt142 corona also fits, ive actually done the corona -> RA60 swap, and fit perfect, worked great.

So yeah, any of the aforementioned will fit, and I am pretty sure they also fit RA40 and possibly RA28 too (havent been up close an personal enough with the tank on an RA28 to get close to confirming)

Owen, would you have dimentions of the corona tanks? I can get a million shots of my tank (RA28) if it will help line them up. I'm in need of a good swap asap for the same sittuation as above except into the RA28.]

Sorry Nick, threw out all my tanks when I moved last. Do a hunt around the wreckers though, you may be surprised at what you find. Make sure you have a full set of accurate measurements of your tank first tho. Failing that, ask around on here for somebody with a spare tank they could lend and try fitting it up/sit it side by side with your tank. Even somebody with a throwaway RA60 tank, as I know they are the same size.

for the stupid people of the world (me) is this so that you can have a fuel tank that is efi compatible and has the pump internal to the tank, thus negating the need for an annoying surge tank?
of those tanks mentioned, is the rt142 efi? i assume the ra65 is but rt142's are more plentiful at U Pull It down here
    cheers
    Barnsey

this is for an ra40 so this is hopefully good news

Yes RT142 is EFI, as it came with the 22RE engine. The tanks are there to negate having dual pumps and a surge tank. Dont dismiss the benefits of a surge tank though, even though its a pain in the arse setup, they do help a lot in situations of spirited/race driving.

And Barnsey... I said I was 'pretty sure' it would fit the RA40. If you can confirm/deny this, that would be great, and would warrant many people's pos rep. Perhaps take the same advice as I gave to Nick for his RA28.

The G/MZ10/11/12 Soarer is also the same.

And providing the RA6x Coupe has the spare tyre in the floor, the tank should also be the same.
