    Default Possible power steering problem?

Posted this in the GT4 thread, but it should probably be asked in here too:

Quick power steering question guys, if I turn quickly, e.g. on a straight road, if I flick the wheel hard one way and then hard back the other way, it feels like the pressure can't keep up. e.g it gets hard to turn for a second or so. Is this symptoms of a stuffed pump or rack or something else?

just a pressure drop I think, i've noticed the same thing in mine when I do a similar thing... Aslong as there isn't any hint of pump whine, just go with it

    Thanks guys

I actually have a spare pump but it's too much of a biatch to replace, so I'll wait until it gets really bad, or until I have to drop the motor again (touch wood )

Just to add about the whine you mentioned James. I know with the M series motors, when you get a whine at full lock or close to from the pump, it can be caused from having a blocked filter in the resivior. Just take the resivior off, blast some air and water through it so its all clean and leave out in the sun to dry. If you look closely inside the resivior whilst holding to the sky, you can see the filter quite cleary.
