Wakefield Park Track Day Friday 9th March

Yep, its (almost ) time for another one! I figure you all know how the deal by now, but i've got to put something in this post, so;

Cost: $140
This doesn't include the electronic timers we had last time, we had a minor issue last time and are clarifying things before we go ahead with them. If we do it, it will add $10-$15 to the cost. We have a limit of 25 places, the majority of which are still available. (I think one person has paid already )

What you need: Helmet, Valid CAMS (or driver's licence to get Wakefield clubsport licence - $40/12 months), and neck/ankle/wrist length clothing. We stay down there both nights in cabins next door to the track, and anyone is welcome to join us for one or both nights. (~$20/night)

I know its still 2 months away, but i'm giving you plenty of notice. A few people have been asking so i figure some of your are getting as keen as i am for this! I really struggle to cope from one track day to the next, and it'll end up being just over 6 months since our last one

Also, spectators/passengers are more than welcome, we usually get a good bunch come along, and it'd be good to see again.

i hope i can come...tho it is the weekend before the grand prix which could prove difficult

keen to give my semi's a go there as well...tho i know that most improvement will come from the nut holding the wheel!

I'll be a maybe.
Replacing all the suspension bushes & front strut inserts this month.

I'll still be running sagged stock springs & possibly no rear sway bar (the damn mounting bolts fell out!!! ) & I haven't rettached them.
Besides which I need to change the rear bar & its mounts & get a new upgraded front bar to even out the oversteer.

Remind me closer to the event & I'll see how I go.

do you have to do anything to get the clubsport license or just pay the 40$?

For Wakefield you've simply got to pay your $40 & sign all the forms, etc.

Good to hear guys. Steve, that sounds like a fairly standard to-do list whenever there's a track day! I've only got to pull my engine out, rebuild it, and get it back in and run in, and i'm away for 2 weeks in february.

Yep, for the wakefield licence you just need a valid driver's licence, and pay your $40, sign the indemnity form, and get your photo taken

Ahh no I got a really bad feeling i've got a wedding on the 10th Saturday. damn. i'll cry like a big girl if I miss out on wakefield i've been hanging out for ages.

Sure you might have to leave a bit earlier saturday morning... bring the tux, get changed a bit at a time each set of lights you stop at... or just depart from the cabins in style!

Saw it as a problem being best man and all. Wants me to spend the night before wedding help prepare and stuff.

But it's all good.. Just confirmed its the 3rd so i'm safe! Woohoo wakefield here I come!

I'll have others coming, just confirming them now. The new ae86 should be gracing the track.
