fingers crossed
Usually 6 cars on the track at a time, you get a good session out there and operates very smoothly, cars usually pull in at there own free will (more commonly when broken) and another car just goes out.
Very good way to get the feel of racing, nice tight little track with a couple of fun and interesting straights. Make sure you have your brakes well and truly sorted, you'll need em.
Joel, you'll be happy to know that the plenum has been repaired with a big weld and wont be mucking up this time around, at least we hope.
Garth, whats the go with the timers mate? And has the price crept up a bit since last meet?
I'll be there either way, cant wait!
fingers crossed

Another newbie racing question,
With tyres, my currents have around 60 or less percent tread, probably less by the time march comes around, is it a good idea to get new tyres for this?
edit, is it worth investing in some semi slicks?

don't bother with semi's for your first time out there. personally i'm continuing on street tyres until i reach the limit of what they are capable of.

yeah dude, new tyre would be a waste,
your most likely to scud out the edges of the one you have atm, so buying new ones just for this event would be a waste.....
unless your looking to put down some crazy times....
im hoping to be on slicks.....but most likely the best street tyres i can find....fo undaer $100
Ok, witchy and blake, pms replied to. Andy, yeah, you just get the wakefield licence when you sign in on the morning, and as to thursday, we don't take the day off, we just head down after work, usually leaving around 7-8pm. We'll organise that and who's looking to stay either night closer to the day.
Rona, suck it up; you're coming. I know you weren't posting in my thread just to make some smartarse reply, followed up with a 'i might be there', so you're obviously keen to get out there. And nobody buys that brakes excuse anymore, we've all told you what we think about that several times over. Give me your money.
Gday jack, yeah, we just run open track all day, usually 10 cars at a time, and one in one out after you've had about 6 laps. If there's nobody waiting to come out we're not going to flag you in either, so you can get some pretty long sessions in the arvo if your car can take it. As to the price, there's two groups of mates i organise these with (a number of people get to both) and one group limits it to 25 places, the other to 30. This is the '25' group, so it's about $20 more to cover the costs with fewer cars.
Guys just drop me a pm when you've got the $140 ready, or car ready (Ed, you saying you might be ready?? I didn't think i was going to see that out at wakefield till much later in the year. And uncross your fingers, you can't work quickly like that.)

Thing is though that after the way my car was misbehaving last time I went down that I said I wouldn't put it on the track again. That's what the Subie is supposed to be for. But I doubt its going to be finished in time now that I've got to rebuild the suspension on the Caldina.Originally Posted by -GT-
depending on if I can get my front suspension noises sorted out, I'll may well be out there again
How many spots are still open Garth?
Be good to see you out there again dylan, still haven't had a chance to jump in your passenger seat. Only had one person pay yet, so technically about 20 spots (organisers are a given). If everyone who said here they're definate get me money soon we'll be down to only about 7 or 8.

Just made my payment, definitely in now! Just hope I have at least one working supra, otherwise I might have to take the ovlov!

Nah, the black s13 is tony, he runs the other group, and the 2 sti's are mates of i think that race torana so they might be actually. Damien (v8soarer) is away at the moment, but i'm pretty sure he'll be there. New heads and cams will be on by then too.
Also guys, make sure you put your login in the payment info when you transfer the money so i know who's who.
