I'm most likely just going to be rocking up on the morning to spectate. Maybe have one or 2 friends in tow.

    Thanks for the clarification Garth.

I'll aim to be there for 8:30am, unless I have an accident on the way I hope I should be ready to empty the crap out of the car and roll onto the track for the first session or so.

I think I have a stopwatch in the cupboard, I'll try to find it and remember to get new batteries for it.

The other option was to have tags with eye bolts welded to it to mount the harness to.

I went with the first option, sounded easy and neat. But i cant seem to find any of these harnesses that just loop over the bar.

In your travels have you seen such a thing?
Joel, Peter said the same thing to me when i got mine - he said to go to Sparco at emu plains. (Nowhere near you, i know).

Nope - cams licence is ideal, wakefield clubsport licence is what you have to get if you don't have a cams. You need your drivers licence and the fee to get it (used to be $40, but did someone say earlier it had gone up?) The wakefield licence is valid for 12 months, so you get several track days out of it.

and Dylan, sounds good, i will still bring my camera down (old school film one...was my mothers, but i inherited it )

the zoom on it is silly big now, it had (relatively) big lens on it before, but with the 2x converter it is just silly now!

Well, there's been a few changes lately with a couple of people having to pull out, but we've managed to fill those spots. No harm in letting me know if you're still keen to come on short notice; it wouldn't be the first time a spot opened up the week of.

    Instead of updating the previous post, the current list of Toymodders (and friends) as it stands today is;

    Finney ae93 sx
    Nath mx5
    Matt ma61
    Joel ra28
    Meg ae86
    Scott gze T18
    Rob bluebird
    Dean rx7 s6
    Witchy ae86
    Paul ae93 gti
    Roundy gt4
    Damien soarer
    Mick mx5
    Andrew bluebird
    Tony datto 1600
    Mark 911
and me of course ae93 sx

Finney, Joel and Blake i need to get surnames off you for your others that are coming, just for keeping track of who's who. Pm is fine.

    And for accomodation, i've got;

    Nathan: thursday, maybe friday
    Damien: thursday
    Matt: thursday, maybe friday
    Joel: +3 thursday, & +5 friday

Anybody else thinking of staying either or both nights, please let me know asap, as we'll be booking it in the next couple of days.

So does that mean meeting up thursday for the trip down is currently damien, matt, & joel (etc)?

I'll be there probably a bit after 9am in a little black Mirage

Ok, meetup point we used last time (i've just dug this up out of the old thread) is the servo on williamson rd. Take the brooks rd exit off the hume soon after the m7, where it spreads to 4 lanes, turn right at the roundabout onto williamson rd, then its a fair way down on the left. It's just before the last roundabout that puts you back on the hume.

I always seem to struggle to get out of work at a reasonable time when i'm going to wakefield, so lets aim for 7:30-7:45pm? That should be about right for you joel if you want to meet us, we could aim to leave by 8pm?

I'm pretty flexible with this, so whatever people think is best/easiest. It looks like there's only a few of us this time, me, damien, you matt, probably paul, and joel+2 if they want to meet us. And damien and paul will probably already be with me.

I'll see if i can find the map for it...

Blake, you guys are keen, getting there at 7am. Don't wake me up, i'll see you after 8
It's probably good to make sure you've got some time up your sleeve in case anything happens, but unless you need to do a lot to get the car ready once you're there, 8:15 or so is fine.

Hey Garth, yeah, put me down for accom on the Thu night.. One question - Will we be able to leave our shite (sleeping bags, eskies etc) in the cabins during the day or do we need to clear out by a certain time on the Friday morning?

Not sure yt where I'll join the convoy - will speak to you later in the week to figure out which way you're heading to the meetup spot
    Cheers,
    Paul.
