open the air bypass screw on the side of the AFM (under the little rubber gromet to the rhs). just count how many turns you give it incase you ever want to return it. (turn it anti-clockwise).![]()
hey guys, another AFM q's.
the way my setup on the 1g is, the afm sits 100mm infromt of the turbo, just one piece of piping conecting the 2,
i had a mate come over and have a look, he said the AFM will have probs being so close, ie it will run fine, rev fine,
but if you give it a sharp boost/ rev it and back off sharply, it will stal afterward as it sends pulses of air back and forward thru the AFM....
tru?![]()
cheers, blake![]()

another prob if its to close to turbo is if u have a short thick pipe the air flow might not have enough slack
so when the engine idles it also shakes the airflow meter making the flap vibrate very slightly makin it idle even worse
so the proper way is for the air flow to be moounted solidly to body and have enough pipe to flex and not affect readings
ahh sweet guys,
loosk like i'll ave to throw a couple of bends in between them,
cheers again!, blake
