    Default 20V interchangebility

What flywheels (+clutch) can i (or should i) put on my 20v - going rwd with t50 gearbox as the 20v was auto.
Are the 20v timing belts interchangable with any other 4ag's
Can 4ac aircon be retrofitted to 20v block with no mods?

    thanks

try and find a flywheel from a blacktop 20v, and clutch to suit obviously, as these i do believe are the lightest. although any 4age flywheel will fit, this will most likely be your best option to capitalise on the nature of your engine.

    timing belts are not interchangable.

and i have seen a 20v in an ae86 using all 4ac acccesories, im not exactly sure, but i think it just requires using all the pulleys from a 4ac.

20V timing belts are 2 teeth longer than standard 4age timing belts - so no they do not fit.

The 200mm (ae86/ae82) or 212mm (ae92/ae101/ae111) 4age flywheels will fit. the corresponding clutches also work fine with the T50. 4agze (224m) flywheels will not fit inside the T50 bellhousing.

I wouldn't bother using the 4AC air con compressor. it's probably easier to use the 20V compressor and adapting the ae86 air con hoses to suit.

sweet! thanks! reason i ask about 20v aircon is it sits on a bracket that in turn bolts onto the power steering bracket. it also sits a fair way out from the engine with the power steering removed - this obviously isnt a prob?

in addition the what ive written about the lada and camira timing belts, i think the camira one is 19mm wide and the lada one is 21? im not sure what the standard 20v one is but jsut make sure the teeth are the rounded ones and not sqaure becasue the 20v timiing belt had the rounded teeth

FWIW i got an original toyota 20v timing belt for $50 off a forum user and they arent really that expensive. i can get the part number for you contact tin-can off these forums (Jesse) he works in Ultimo toyota and can get the part for you no worries
