Don't know if this will be of help but I have a 1G-GE in my MK2 Corona and it is running a AFM out of a Camira.Seems to work quite fine.
Cheers Brett.
I'd say so Steve. They're all fairly similar, and i'd say they have fairly similar characteristics.

Try getting parts numbers for both. On my Gen III 1GGTE AFM, it has 2 part numbers.
The first has an old Toyota symbol then - 22250-70260
The other has a Nippon Denso symbol then - 197100-3651

It appears ive stumbled across a M-eu one in my pile of shit at home, ill string that up and see if it works...if not ill give a 1g one a go! Cant be that different id say..![]()
People have used a 7MGE one, but it changes the fuelling slightly. Failing getting hands on a 1GGZE one, I'd say the GTE one is your best bet. Or just get another aftermarket ECU![]()

It would probably work. You could always measure the range of resistance / voltage / whatever signal they use on yours and compare with someone who has a 1ggze?
update: spring rate would be important too.

Oh, and the MEU one *may* be smaller than the 1GGZE one. My 1GEU one was smaller than my 1GGTE one.
