    Default What things to i need to fit these gauges?

    Hey guys, probably go next week and purchase a few gauges from justjap.

    I will be getting the following gauges?

    60mm Water temp gauge
    60mm Oil temp gauge
    60mm Oil pressure gauge

    Things i thought i would need is this?

    sandwich plate for oil temp and oil pressure senders

    and an autogauge water temp sender....not sure what size ill actually need...it will just be the width of the rad house wont it??


    anything else i need...

    Oh also will definatly need help fitting them..willing to pay in cash or beer for whoever would like to lend a helping hand as ive got no idea in this department??

    Hey mate, yeah thats all you will need. The wiring should be simple, have a crack at it yourself man... it really shouldnt be too difficult. What area are you located in?

    Alright sweet as.

    Yeh never tried wiring anything myself usually leave that too other people.

    Im located in the Sutherland Shire. Would love a hand of someone if they could one weekend.

    Oh also with the water temp sender..to i have to like cut a piece out of one of my rad houses to fit it in...is that how it works??

    Yep you cut about an inch out of the hose. Make sure you earth that sender housing as well or it wont work.

    if there is anywhere you can use on the stock thermostat housing etc, that might be better, but chances are the threads don't match up...

    but.. check if there is a sender for your stock gauge (or it gets signal from ECU?) and then you could use that hole.. if it is just a gauge sender

    oh.. you know the Autogauge (taiwanese) are ripoffs of Autogage (made by autometer)?

    depending on time i can give you a hand, i just installed the exact gauges you are talking about in my supra.

    you could also put the water temp sender in the side of the block where the coolant drain is. Im not sure if there is any difference in accuracy on the temperature, but ive normally done it there on previous cars..

    the wiring part is the easiest though, its the fitting of the senders and sandwich plate which you will have the most fun with

    so would the 28th or 1st be ok or do you want them in before that?

    it is pretty easy.

    Ill probably get the justjap ones mate...or possibly saber.,not sure where i can get them from though..

    the 28th ill be working and the sunday ill be going out to watch the first round of the D-CUP drifting..

    hmmmmmmm possibly the week after that??

    i got saber ones. they are pretty good for the money.

    well i could do it during the week as well depending on the day. do you work during the week?

    i could possibly do the 21st.

    During the week would be heaps good man.

    Ill be getting them on thr 12th..

    My next day off would be on the 16th...if that suits??

    I have a drift day on the 22nd and would love for them to be in before that??

    ok will get back to you about the 16th just depends on if the wife is working, and if so till what time.

    should know early next week, either way should be no trouble getting them in before the 22nd

    Sounds really good mate, I am planning on getting the holders so i can mount them on the dash..

    Is that alright? not gonna be an issue?
