    Default 7m - 1jz ffim

    hey ive seen this on a few 7ms now how hard is it to do? convert the 7m side intake to a front facing with the 1jz ffi manifold? does anyone have dimentions etc?

    All custom work im afriad. And you'll need a bracket to relocate the alternator too. Disturbed on these forums can get them or put you into contact with the people that make them.

    so its not very easy? i wouldve though it wouldnt b that hard giving the dimentions of the motors are very similar

    Also be careful when designing such an intake. I am purely quoting from 1jzracing when I say that. He apparently netted a 20kw increase on his fairly worked 1JZ by changing from the 1J intake manifold to a custom one resembling a 7M (over the cam covers).

    Maybe he can shed more light on the situation.

    It's easy if you're experienced with metal fabrication and alloy welding. Otherwise, not so easy.
