    Default Wiring a turbo timer???

Anyone got any advice for wiring a Greddy Turbo Timer is their MA70?

I just done it and got it working, however I have a few minor gremlins. This does not happen all of the time, only about 50% of the time, but if I use my indicators, the power to the TT pulses off and the unit does a quick shutdown and start up. It does not affect anything, except it makes an annoying beep (plus it obviously shouldn't be doing it). It will also do this even if the unit is switched off?????

Do i need to find a different power source for it? i have wired is as the manual recommends.

    Any thoughts would be great.

I've also noticed that it doesn't do it when I'm cruising at highway speed.

    Cheers

    Jim

Probably caused by a voltage drop of some sort?

That's all I can think of..

    Yer, Yian is right,

If you know how a turbo timer works, then you'll understand that its a swtich basically...

The wire that is leading to the ign is either loose or fucked, replace it or re-mount the wire leading to the ignition barrel and you'll be right

Im just too lazy to do that

Yeah I figured it was a voltage drop causing it. I'll check all of the wires this weekend.

From memory, the instructions for an ingition with two wires it said to find the wire that does not drop in voltage when the ignition is turned to start. They all dropped in voltage and they drop in voltage when the indicator is hit, can anyone point to another wire (colour anything??)

    Cheers all

There should be a wire there somewhere that hardly drops at all in voltage when engine is cranking. if you thing that wire is the issue, try running a wire directly to the battery just to see if it does it. Also make sure you have a good earth. Alot of electrical issues are due to a dud earth.
