Now if only mine were that close....

I'll let you have a SOHC 2.0 TD for cheap. Will bolt into the back of an MR2 for good weight distribution

pick your drivetrain, make up a tube chassis, drape favourite shape over the top.... whats the issue?

failing that, pick a shape of car, then wedge drivetrain in, keep bodgy suspension and muck around with it...
seems silly to choose the car you want to your thousands of dollars into based on a full chassis and leaf springs

well as i do more research im finding that full chassis is not a good way to go, as if im tubbing it, the chasiss rails will be in the way...

whoever asked, no the 302 hasnt hit the strip yet, im waiting for my brakes to be done so i can drive it again...i assume you didnt see it at dubbo in 06?

this still doesnt fix my problem, i wanted 10s in the supra, but its not going to happen with the F series IRS and R154. Its a tad too expensive to change it to an alternative rear end - jag was on the books. and i doubt the r154 wouldve held up to 10 sec passes and daily thrashings for long....id rather leave it the way it is - its driveable, goes fast, looks and sounds tough...

Step 1) Put in an auto (solves the R154 problem)
Step 2) ??? (might be an idea to get some power here ....might help with the runnin 10's yo ' bro' idea )
    Step 3) profit / run 10s

After you break the diff then you can look into something stronger...but if you chuck a spool in the diff what exactly is it you think will break? You're going to shear the teeth off the pinion?

Or you could always upgrade to a G series...Word on the street is that there is a 1JZ cressida running 10s on one if them without dramas...?

Shit Sean (MS-75) is running 10s with a R31 Skyline (Borg-Warner 78)!...and he has just a LITTLE bit of power [no idea how big a 'Borg-Warner 78' is tho Sean?]

I want to see broken stuff before I hear excuses

    (waits for excuses )

    Cheers
    Wilbo

its all irrelevant, ive put too much into the ma61 to go changing it now. end of story.

can someone tell me if mk2 coronas are wider in the engine bay than a crown, and if they are full chassis or not?

MkII Corona is not full chassis, but has the same issues as a Crown with mounting a V8 (ie steering box gets in the way). You need to convert to rack & pinion just to fit a 1UZ, so forget about a big block.
