There you go, problem solved. Much lighter than a Crown.
hilux ftw! if a 1uz can fit in there and still be road legal (all ancilleries) then you can fit in a chev or ford (if you really wanted cubes) with ease. 2wds weight in at 1050 for the 89-96 models

Toyota Hilux 2.8L TD 4x4.
My neighbour has an unreg 70s Hilux (don't know the model code) which is in pretty good nick apart from needing some engine work (timing chain on 18RC boat anchor).
Already has an auto & has flat aluminium tray so wheel width won't be an issue.
Paint's in good nick but the floor needs some welding up to fix rust holes.
TORAGO OR LITEACE!!!!!!
plenty of room for engine in them

They even fit nissan SD33's with turbos hanging off em
Not full chassis, no leaf springs, not originally six cylinder - fails all three criteria!

and just to add insult to injury, the Tarago is even less aerodynamic that the aforementioned 'Lux.
If you can find one that hasn't been restored, and you can keep it hidden from all on here then:
A Toyota 2000GT would be an awesome choice...
Very easily fixed with an angle grinder.. the lite aces are leaf sprung (not sure about torago though)Originally Posted by -==L=a=N=c=E==-
maybe not the best idea but itd be funny! Why does it matter about rear end anyway, if your serious you can chop the rear out and put in one of those 'one-size-fits-all' 4 link kits in
doesnt have leaf rear tho broOriginally Posted by twentyEight

I also agree on the "Why does it matter about rear end anyway, if your serious you can chop the rear out and put in one of those 'one-size-fits-all' 4 link kits in" as said by gearb0x!
perhaps cause if its full chassis already with leaf springs, the chassis extends to the rear of the car? making it easier to chop in 'read to go 4 link kits'
?
